    We will only use your personal data when the law allows us to. Most commonly, we will use your personal data in the following circumstances:

    4. Analytics and Session Replays

    We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages people use. On the game analysis page (/analyze) we also use PostHog to record a sample of sessions as replays: page layout, mouse movement, clicks, and scrolling, so we can see where the analysis tool is confusing or broken. Replays:

    • Are recorded only on the analysis page, and only for a portion of visits
    • Never include anything you type: every input field is masked before it leaves your browser
    • Are not linked to your name or email; we do not identify you to PostHog
    • Are not recorded at all, and no PostHog data is sent, if your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal

    PostHog stores this data in the United States. To opt out, turn on Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control in your browser.

    5. Payments

    ChessDream Pro is paid through Stripe. Your card details go directly to Stripe and never reach our servers. We store only what we need to keep Pro active on your account: that you have Pro, since when, and Stripe's customer and payment references.

    6. Data Security

    We have put in place appropriate security measures to prevent your personal data from being accidentally lost, used, or accessed in an unauthorized way, altered, or disclosed.
