Import Chess.com and Lichess Games for Free Analysis

The ChessDream game importer pulls your played games directly from Chess.com or Lichess using only your username — no password, no OAuth, and no account on ChessDream. Pick a platform, enter the username, choose a date range, and every game in that window is listed and ready to open in the Stockfish analysis board. Importing and analyzing are both free and unlimited.

How to import your chess games

    1. Choose your platform — Chess.com or Lichess.
    2. Enter the username exactly as it appears on that platform.
    3. Pick the date range, or the year for Lichess, that you want to pull.
    4. Select a game from the list of results.
    5. The game opens in the analysis board, where Stockfish evaluates every move.

Why import instead of copying a PGN

Copying a PGN one game at a time is fine for a single review, but improvement comes from looking at many games together and spotting the pattern that repeats. Importing by username gives you a whole date range at once, so you can work through a losing streak or a month of games in one sitting rather than hunting down individual game links.

What you can do with an imported game

    • See a move-by-move Stockfish evaluation of the entire game.
    • Find the exact move where the evaluation swung against you.
    • Compare what you played against the engine's preferred line.
    • Review move classifications — brilliant, best, inaccuracy, mistake, blunder.
    • Step into any position and continue analyzing from there.

    Frequently asked questions

Do I need to give ChessDream my Chess.com password?

No. The importer uses the public game archives that Chess.com and Lichess publish for each account, so it only needs your username. There is no login, no OAuth connection, and no password involved.

Is there a limit on how many games I can import and analyze?

No. Importing and analysis are both unlimited and free. Unlike platforms that cap free accounts to one game review per day, ChessDream does not meter how many games you review.

Can I import games from Lichess as well as Chess.com?

Yes. Both platforms are supported. Chess.com games are fetched by username and date range, and Lichess games are fetched by username and year.

Does importing a game require a ChessDream account?

No. You can import and analyze games without registering. An account is only needed for features that save state across sessions, such as your profile.
